Claudio Reilsono

Director of Professional Scouting / Hitting Instructor

Claudio Reilsono, the director of professional scouting for PSB, has coached college baseball for 18 years and has been a professional baseball scout for 15 years. He is the former general manager and lead scout for the Global Scouting Bureau and has been a part of signing 62 players to professional baseball contracts all over the world including: Australia, Italy, Sweden, Switzerland, Holland, the Czech Republic and Germany.

Reilsono coached high school baseball for nine years before moving into the college ranks.  He is currently the head baseball coach at Carnegie-Mellon University where he has led the Tartans to some of their most successful baseball seasons in school history, including the 2015 District V Conference Championship.  A member of the CMU Baseball Hall of Fame, Claudio is the all-time leaders in coaching wins at CMU

Reilsono started his coaching career at Quaker Valley (PA) High School. During his tenure at Quaker Valley, Reilsono founded and coached the Sewickley semi-pro baseball team. He went on to coach at Penn-State–Beaver where he guided the team to the Penn State Commonwealth Championship and an appearance in the NJCAA National Championships. Reilsono also was an assistant coach at Duquesne University.

A frequent guest on television and radio sports programs for his baseball expertise, Reilsono also conducts baseball camps, teaches private lessons for baseball and softball players of all ages, and is a motivational speaker. He produced a hitting video in 2003.

Claudio is a member of the Steel City Sports Hall of Fame and received the 2014 Willie Stargell MVP Lifetime Achievement Award.  A documentary on Claudio will be released in the Spring of 2016.
